AI in the Arts: Readiness, Governance, and Strategic Activation
Arts organizations are engaging with AI across very different dimensions. Some are investing in data structure, system design, and governance. Others are focused on activating AI through policy, staff enablement, and real-world use cases that support audiences and teams today.
This session brings together two complementary perspectives on AI adoption in the arts, reflecting the different ways organizations establish readiness, governance, and momentum based on their needs and maturity.
Double Eagle will explore a framework for strategic AI planning and execution, including AI readiness, governance, and opportunity identification that can enable more advanced AI capabilities.
Capacity will focus on strategic activation. Through a real-world case study, we’ll show how organizations can establish ethical guardrails, build AI literacy, and use large language models today to accelerate insight, decision-making, and audience engagement, even without complex infrastructure changes.
Together, these perspectives reflect the reality of AI adoption in the arts.
Learning Objectives:
- Explain different approaches to AI adoption in arts organizations
- Distinguish between organizational AI foundations and strategic AI activation
- Describe a real-world case study where AI supported audience insight and engagement
- Identify ways to use AI responsibly and effectively, regardless of technical maturity
