Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships
We are seeking a relationship-driven Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships to support our Business Development Team. This role will focus on building long-term connections, developing tailored solutions, and securing high-impact agreements that advance CI’s mission and value to the field. As a visible ambassador for CI, the successful candidate will represent the organization at conferences and industry gatherings while spending significant time traveling to meet with prospective partners in person. Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Development, this role is central to expanding CI’s reach through trust, collaboration, and thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cultivation and closing of high-value, strategic partnerships and client deals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with major prospective clients.
- Develop customized pitches, proposals, and negotiations to secure high-impact agreements.
- Spend significant time traveling to meet prospective clients and partners in person.
- Build and sustain relationships with senior decision-makers across the arts, culture, and nonprofit sectors.
- Represent CI as a thought leader and ambassador at conferences, industry gatherings, market activations, and other business development events.
- Collaborate with our consultants and organizational leadership to ensure smooth handoffs and long-term client success.
- Partner with the Business Development and Marketing teams to align on strategy, share market insights, and continuously improve outreach approaches.
Qualifications
- 10+ years serving the arts and culture landscape.
- Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals.
- Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills; confident serving as a visible representative of CI.
- Experience in consulting, including client interaction, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
- Strong ability to assess, recommend, and integrate AI tools and platforms that align with clients’ needs.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently while maintaining alignment with the larger team.
- Skilled at quickly building trust and strong relationships with executives and stakeholders.
- Brings deep knowledge of CI’s potential clients and a strong, nationwide network of arts and cultural organizations.
- Excited by a dynamic, travel-intensive role with significant external exposure.
- Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing arts and culture organizations.
- Fluency in MarTech platforms, a plus.
Additional Requirements:
We are a fully remote company with no physical office. This job requires a significant amount of time on-camera for internal and external video calls.

Compensation: $125k-$150k base salary plus a lucrative bonus structure with high reward potential for exceptional performance.
