Meta One Subscriptions & AI in Meta
In this edition: a guest appearance by Capacity’s Meta specialists Katherine Montgomery and Tyra Jefferson to answer some reader questions about Meta’s AI investment.
This is Q&AI, our blog series aimed at keeping you in the know on updates in the rapidly evolving world of AI. Sometimes, these will be quick updates on new developments in the field. Sometimes, they’ll be tips on tactics, features, or functionality. If you haven’t met me yet, hi: I’m Jen Taylor, Capacity’s Vice President, Strategic Growth and AI Activation.
Q: I’d love to LEARN more about the new Meta One subscription and how the company is doubling down on AI. What does that mean for orgs and creators online?
A: Meta One is Meta’s new subscription service that unlocks additional AI features, creative tools, and other perks across its apps. As Meta continues to invest in AI, it’s introducing more advanced features that go beyond what you can access for free. The goal is to give everyday users more ways to personalize their experience, while helping creators and businesses manage their content and grow their online presence.
For individuals and AI power users, this subscription unlocks custom fonts for Instagram DMs and Stories, additional Reels insights on Facebook, WhatsApp customization, and increased access to Meta AI for media generation, Instagram Restyle, and voice effects.
For creators and businesses, this subscription includes features such as enhanced profiles, automatic follow invitations, links in organic posts and Reels, advanced content scheduling, exportable analytics, and deeper audience insights. It also includes account access for team members without sharing passwords, verified badges, impersonation protection, and expanded access to Meta Business Agent for customer support.
Q: Do I actually need Meta one?
A: Chances are, especially if you’re a medium or large-sized organization working with Capacity, no you do not need it nor do we recommend it. If you’re a medium or large organization, you likely already have a content scheduler and a way to analyze results and learn about audiences for your organic social content, and for your paid content, you have us!
One roadblock you may encounter soon is Meta’s new two link limit, which rolled out alongside the launch of Meta One. If you are not subscribed to Meta One, you will only be able to include two external links a month in organic posts. That means you can only include your organization’s website in two Facebook post captions each month. This does not include paid advertising. We encourage you to strategically think about the way you’re using links in your organic Facebook content and whether they’re necessary more than twice a month before considering a Meta One subscription.
