Capacity Interactive (CI), a digital marketing consulting firm serving arts and culture organizations, is looking for Graphic Design Interns.

Our client portfolio includes such organizations as New York City Ballet, Goodman Theatre, The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and MFA, Houston.  Annually, we host Digital Marketing Boot Camp for the Arts, the country’s leading digital marketing conference for the arts.

Responsibilities:

While interning at CI, you will:

Complete Capacity Interactive University (CIU) – the same in-depth training program we use to onboard full-time staff on the foundations of digital marketing.

Assist our Senior Graphic Designer in producing digital design assets for Capacity Interactive as well as Digital Marketing Boot Camp for the Arts.

Assist our Senior Graphic Designer and Consultant teams in the layout and design of PowerPoint presentations, Word templates, and Excel templates as needed.

Collaborate with the Marketing and Content team in the production of digital, visual creative materials, including original social, blog, and website content.

Maintain awareness of brand guidelines and uphold established creative standards.

Collaborate closely with the smartest and most fun team of arts and data nerds around!

The Ideal Candidate Possesses The Following:

You are/have:

Passionate about the arts and the non-profit space and want to apply your marketing skills to mission-driven work.

A sense of humor.

An undergraduate or graduate student, but not necessarily – early career professionals or career-changers are most welcome!

Strong writing, typing, and communication skills.

Highly motivated and pay close attention to detail.

Flexible – willing and able to take on new projects and tasks.

Comfortable working both on a team and individually.

An affinity for numbers and an aptitude for working with them.

Distinguished by an inquisitive nature and a desire to learn.

An understanding of core graphic design principles and execution.

A strong facility with Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Illustrator and Photoshop).  Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML a plus.

Details:

Part time and full time internships are available, and will run from May 28-August 20, 2019. Interns will be paid $15 an hour and are expected to work out of our New York City office using their own laptops.
